The trial for the death of Samuel Luizin the early morning of July 3, 2021 on the Coruña seafront, at the exit of a leisure venue, has reached its third day at the Provincial Court of A Coruña with testimony from two defendants on Thursday, Catherine SB and Alejandro MR, both released with an obligation to appear, and the testimony this Friday of two friends of the victim, the Senegalese who tried to help him and a witness.
He closed this Friday’s session explaining that he saw that night “a very large group of people hitting someone” and with an attack – a “beating”, in the words of another of the witnesses – that began outside the entertainment venue to then move on to another part of the promenade.
“When I arrived Samuel was alone”he specified after emphasizing that he was “afraid” and that that is why “it did not occur to him to intervene.” He did say that he notified a patrol car that he saw when the attack moved to a final point, where the victim fell for the second time without being able to get up, according to one of the Senegalese who testified this Friday.
This witness also pointed out the use of a bottle by someone in the attack. “I saw a bottle high up with the intention of bringing it down to hit and then it sounded broken.”

All of this in a session that lasted for about four hours, but with a break for legal reasons, and with the testimonies, moved at times, but with clear answers, on the part of the witnesses.
This was the case of Lina, a friend who was with Samuel on the day of the events, or Vanesa, with whom they made the video call, a fact that, according to one of the accused and girlfriend of Diego MM He confused that they were recording him.
Lina confirmed that her friend received insults from “fucking faggot” both on the part of this defendant and his then girlfriend and that the former even told him that he was going to “kill him” if he did not stop recording. She has also said that the accused threw her to the ground and told her “you get out of here, you don’t matter.”
Both she and the Senegalese who tried to help Samuel as the subsequent witness confirmed that there was a persecution, from the initial point of the first attack until the end, when the victim falls again, “collapsed”according to her friend.
“Full of blood”
Ibrahima, one of the people who tried to help with his body and the help of his partner Magatte, has insisted, in turn, that Samuel was “full of blood” and “could not defend himself.”
This in a trial in which both were forceful in their responses to the lawyers, especially the defense, who stressed that Magatte did not recognize the accused to the Police, whom he did identify at trial.
