Through the X account of the Mexico City Film Commissionthe film director and screenwriter, José Manuel Craviotoexplained that these were props that they are using for filming a movie.
“The Angel did not fall; It seems like it fell, but it is a replica of rubber scenery (…) we are recording a movie, the Angel is happy, he is fine; We are recreating a sequence from 1957 when it fell the angel. “Very happy, we are about to finish filming this morning,” said Cravioto.
The CDMX Film Commission itself clarified in previous publications that the capital’s monument is fine, despite the fact that its fall was spread as something true.
