Just a few years ago, the presenters of The Revolt and The Anthill, David Broncano and Pablo Motosthey got along well. In 2018, the Jaén native was invited to The Anthillwhen he was beginning to stand out in Movistar Plus+ with The resistance and it was not direct competition with the Antena 3 program and there he was visibly excited to have been chosen as one of the attendees and even went so far as to state that he wanted to be the guest who had the most fun on the program. During their visit, they exchanged jokes and mutual praise, with the man from Jaén confessing that The Anthill It was one of his references on television. But what at the time seemed like a friendly professional relationship, today has become an intense rivalry for audience leadership.
And although when Broncano visited Pablo Motos’ program he already had his particular army of fans, his popularity was not as powerful as the one he has garnered now and little or nothing suggested that both they would become direct competitors and much less intimate enemies. However, time passed and with it the popularity of both programs (at that time it was The Resistance) a battle began to brew and in this new scenario, kind words have given way to tensions and competitions in the most coveted time slot on television. Broncano made it clear on several occasions: “I don’t have any problem with them, I don’t know if they do with me,” he stated in a conciliatory tone, although the rivalry between his shows has become the most recurrent gossip every morning.
One of the most remembered talks between the two was when Motos, true to his style, He asked Broncano how much money he had in the bank. That question broke the ice, and the man from Jaén, laughing, confessed that he had less than 600,000 euros and more than 500,000, just at the time when he was beginning to taste success.
However, that was not the only time that David Broncano stepped on the set of The Anthill. Months after his interview, the host of The Revolt He surprised everyone by breaking into the program during an interview with Rosalía, accompanied by Dani Martín and riding a scooter, all as part of a bet. “A couple of weeks ago I interviewed Dani in The Resistance and he told me that he had the platinum card The Anthill. He told me: ‘Pablo says that with this I can go to the program whenever I want,'” Broncano said. “I replied: ‘There are no eggs’ and I didn’t know that the guy was so brave. “We were going to play tennis, we came in tracksuits,” he explained to Pablo Motos’ disbelief. And he joked with Rosalia: “This is a kid who is starting out on TV, and this is another one who is ending up in music.”
That moment demonstrated once again the good vibes that still existed between both presenters, however, now Broncano has become one of the biggest motorcycle competitorsand the battle for prime time is closer than ever.
