Last Thursday, Don Felipe gave instructions to the House Security Service and the Royal Guard to put all the necessary personnel at the disposal of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense to collaborate in the tasks being carried out by the Security Forces and Corps. In the Royal Guard, the four maneuver sections that have been established They work 24 hour shifts under the tactical command of the UME, the highest military responsible for the emergency in the community. During the tasks assigned to them in the different populations, collaboration with the rest of the components of the Armed Forces, State security forces and bodies, and civil organizations and institutions is maximum.
The support missions for those affected that have been carried out to date are very varied and respond, above all, to the need of the moment. Work has been carried out, in particular, on the cleaning and sanitation of streets, the removal of belongings from homes and garages, on security reinforcement functions and on night surveillance of some areas. In this sense, it is necessary to highlight the close collaboration with the residents of the homes and communities of owners, whose description of the facilities is key, in most cases, to the success of the task.
The Royal Guard has intervened to date in Utiel, Chiva and Picanya, some of the towns most damaged by the flood caused by DANA on October 29. On the occasion of this participation, long-standing activities such as the usual solemn relief of the guard at the Royal Palace of Madrid, which is held on the first Wednesday of each month and was scheduled for November 6, was cancelled.
For its part, the Civil Guard device in Valencia belonging to the Security Service of the House of His Majesty the King has a total of 48 agents deployed in Valencia, including six divers, two dog handlers and four drone pilots. , with 14 all-terrain vehicles, two vans for transporting material, two dogs and two drones.
