They warn of the presence of salmonella in all varieties of frozen croquettes from the Las Croquetas de Fer brand

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan), dependent on the Ministry of Consumer Affairshas been informed by Estremadura of the possible presence of salmonella in frozen croquettes of all the varieties of the Las Croquetas de Fer brand. It has been the Coordinating System for Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI) that has made this known.

As reported by Aesan, they are affected with this bacteria. all croquettes in a one kilo bag made between September 13 and October 15, and with expiration dates between March 13 and April 15, 2026.

The initial distribution has been to Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia, La Rioja and the Community of Madrid, although it cannot be ruled out that there may be redistributions to other communities autonomous.

People who have the product affected by this alert at home are recommended to refrain from consuming it. If you have finally eaten the croquettes from the affected batches and present any symptoms compatible with the salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and vomiting accompanied by fever and headache), it is recommended to go to a health center.

Infection occurs after intake of contaminated products and the main foods involved are those from poultry, such as eggalthough meat products can also pose a danger if they are not properly cooked. In addition, fresh fruits and vegetables can also contain salmonella, especially imported ones.
