A tragic event has shocked the French town of Taningesnear the border with Switzerland, after the discovery of three children brutally murdered inside their residence. The bodies of the minors, two boys aged 2 and 11 and a 13-year-old girl, had multiple stab wounds. It was the father of the youngest of the three who discovered the bodies when returning from work and immediately called the emergency services, but unfortunately it was too late to do anything to save their lives.
French police have launched an investigation into this “intentional homicide”, while the city remains shocked by what happened. The children’s mother, a 45-year-old woman who, according to local media, suffered from depression, is missing and is the main suspect in the crime. Authorities have said the woman left a letter before fleeing and getting lost in a picturesque area of the alps. Currently, 60 police officers, supported by helicopters and diving teams, are deployed in search of him. Among the deployed units are soldiers from the company Bonnevilleresearchers from the Chambery Research Section, EDSR road safety officers and the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM), all under the coordination of the CIC of Haute-Savoieaccording to the French media Le Dauphiné Liberé.
So far, the police have not revealed details about the content of the letter or the recipient, since, as we have previously pointed out, the man who made this terrible discovery was only the father of the youngest of them.
This case comes just days after another shocking murder in the French island of Guadeloupewhere two children, aged four years and 13 months, were found decapitated in the bathtub of their home. His mother, who was found disoriented and without clothes by police officers after the discovery, is also the main suspect. Given her mental state, she has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital and released from police custody.
