Andorra la VellaA joint operation by the Tax Agency and the National Police has allowed the confiscation of 600 kilos of cocaine camouflaged among bananas in Malaga.
The shipment came from South America and is estimated to have a market value of more than 21 million euros. Hiding narcotics in fruit containers, according to local media, is a method used by gangs specializing in the international transport of cocaine.
In footage provided by the police, officers can be seen using a scanner to detect the drug stashed at the bottom of cardboard boxes filled with bunches of bananas on top.
