This was announced this Monday by the Spanish Federation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Distributors (FEDGLP) in a statement after a meeting of its general assembly, which approved this decision unanimously.

Initially, the temporary suspension of the home delivery service that the agencies will follow will take place on the days November 5, 13, 21 and 29as well as the days December 5, 11, 17 and 23. The idea is to maintain these strikes until the demands are met, which include the modification and update of Order IET/389/2015 by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and a “fair and adequate” update of the commission per cylinder distributed by the operators.

“The Federation deeply regrets the need to make this decision, but the lack of response from the authorities and operators, with a remuneration update system that has not been updated for more than a decade, makes it necessary to adopt measures for protect the supply to the end customer guaranteeing the survival of the agencies,” says the organization.

According to their defense, the commission they charge for home delivery has not been updated as fuel has become more expensive and labor costs and environmental demands have increased, so it is impossible for them to “continue operating without suffering losses.”
