On Monday, October 21, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) detained Edwin Antonio Rubio López, better known as “El Max” or “El Oso”alleged leader of a criminal cell and who would have been the operator of “El Mayo” Zamabada in Sinaloa.
He also reported on the death of 19 people after the confrontation that occurred between the military and 30 hitmen.
In her press conference, when questioned about the death of the 19 people who did not belong to the Army, the president Claudia Sheinbaum He explained that there was an attack on the armed forces that were going to arrest the criminal and they responded in accordance with the law.
”Any action of this type, where there are people who lose their lives, are always investigated and there is a process that is necessarily followed, It was an arrest where there was aggression against federal forces and they responded”, assured the president.
He added that the investigation is carried out by Sedena and if necessary it goes to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
The president also said that in her Government the instruction and strategy is that there be no confrontations.
”It is not arriving in a framework outside of human rights, attacking whether or not the criminal, there is investigation and arrest of criminals. “We are not going to allow executions within the framework of the law,” he concluded.

What happened in the arrest of ‘El Max’ in Sinaloa?
