‘Invisible’: a teenage phenomenon that comes straight from the books
Preadolescence is one of the more difficult audiences for literature, cinema or series, because boys and girls of that age have too many stimuli in their lives to concentrate on something specific. But when they get into one thing, they become the fans more faithful, as in the case of the series Stranger Things or the Harry Potter books and movies. That is why they are also the most desired audiencethe one that all authors long to capture. The writer Eloy Moreno seems to have found that way to connect with them, and his novels become immediate successes. Without going any further, Invisibleon which this series is based, has 60 editionshas been translated into more than 15 languages and has become required reading in many institutes. And his series, in which the writer has been personally involved, has simultaneously been launched worldwide.
In it, Capi, a 12-year-old boy who suffers bullyinghas a serious accident that causes severe post-traumatic stress. He finds support in a psychologist, to whom, over time, he tells that he has the power of invisibility and that he has nightmares about a dragon that chases him. But he is not the only adult who will support him: a mysterious recently arrived teacher will try to make the invisible visible. The production company has spared no resources for the series and counts among its adult actors Aura Garrido, Miki Esparbé, David Verdaguer and Marian Álvarez, the special effects of The Ranchito (the lord of the rings, game of thrones), and the music of Fernando VelazquezJ. J. Bayona’s regular composer.
We love it because… It deals with a sensitive topic—bullying—from a child’s point of view.
You’ll like it if you like… Stranger Things, The protected, harry potter, Heroes…
