Among the important elements that come out of Anorthosis in these first three matches of the championship, is the excellent help provided by Miguel Guerrero.
The Spaniard makes excellent appearances and most importantly having substance. Against Ethniki in the premiere (3-1), with Othello (2-0) and in the recent game with Nea Salamina (2-2), the 33-year-old found the net and set up a goal for his teammate.
Thus, in total he reached 13 goals and seven assists, competing since last January in the Famagusta team.
At Guerrero’s pace, he may surpass himself in goalscoring, having scored a record 16 goals in the 2012-13 season with Sporting Gijon B. Of course, last year’s ten goals with Anorthosis was his top performance at first division level.
Guerrero is one of the eight players selected by the team’s coach, David Gaiego, as starters in all three games, while together with Arboleda and Marmouk, they are the only ones who did not miss a single minute (although it may have been Correa in this category if he did not receive a red card in the match against New Salamina).
