The president of Departmental Council, Christian Coail, will be present at Guingampon Tuesday, February 28, 2023, to lay the first stone of the new Prévert college. “A major investment by the Department, which amounts to 18 million euros. The places will change very quickly from now on and it is very important for the city of Guingamp and for the whole territory”, underlined recently Christian Coail.
In reality, the construction site has already begun at the Prévert college, since the interior courtyard of the establishment has been under construction for several weeks and has prohibited access to students. A first crane has been installed in this protected area and a second is being assembled.
The current college will then be demolished
Remember that the new college will be built on the site of the current courtyard. And that the building that stands today in the rue de la Trinité will then be demolished when the new college is operational.
The construction of the new college should be completed in the spring of 2024. The new complex will be 8,000 m2 and will bring together the most efficient construction technologies. It will produce its own electrical energy thanks to a photovoltaic installation.
