The European Food Festival 2024: All about the fun returning event

Bon appétit.

Looking to dig into some European flavors but cannot decide which ones? Lucky for us, the European Food Festival is returning to the capital soon.

The October event has been organized by the EU delegation in Riyadh, in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Culinary Arts, and the Diplomatic Quarter. Multiple European embassies will also be participating in the celebrations.

Held in the gated community of the Diplomatic Quarters, the family-friendly event is free and will feature tonnes of entertainment.

So grab your bibs and get ready for a delicious journey through Europe. Remember to leave your passports at home.

Discover the various flavors and culinary customs of Europe at this exceptional food festival. Strolling around the festival grounds, you can stop at booths representing various European nations offering something for every palate. Each booth will feature each nation’s hallmark dishes, produced by skilled chefs.

The mouth-watering smells from the festival will take over the Diplomatic Quarter’s Al Kandi square.

The second edition of the delightful celebration of all things food will take place on Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25.

As mentioned, you do not need tickets to enter the food festival.

The full list of the cuisines served at the festival has not been revealed, but you will be able to tuck into delicacies like madeleines, croissants, brioche, and more.

There has never been a problem that could not have been solved by breakfast foods, and Belgium understands this, which is why you can bite into golden-brown Liege waffles that have been caramelized to perfection.

Sample Prague’s best cronuts and nosh down on some paella before forking up Italian delicacies like lasagnas, cannelloni, pizza, and more.

Food and Riyadh

The Kingdom is known for its ever-growing food scene and has brought in some of the most popular international names to the capital, including Mr. Chow and Spago’s. With food being such an integral part of the Kingdom’s culture, it is no surprise that each milestone and event is celebrated by special discounts and set menus. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, multiple restaurants in the capital have gone pink and are doing special dishes to honor the occasion.
