The Royal Family went out of its way this summer to support Spanish athletes. Kings Felipe and Letizia received the delegation at the embassy of our country in the City of Light and then participated in the inauguration ceremony that was waterlogged. Afterwards, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía went to the French capital to support our athletes and handed over to Queen Letizia, who did not miss the Paralympic performance either. Don Felipe came to encourage our athletes and Queen Sofia was the last to arrive in Paris where she was an exceptional witness to the spectacular gold medal of the women’s water polo team and enjoyed the closing ceremony alongside heads of state from around the world.
