Previously, the New York Magazine reported in September that its correspondent in Washington, Olivia, had acknowledged that she had a relationship “with a relevant subject of the 2025 campaign while she was reporting on the issue.” This represented “a violation of the journal’s standards due to conflicts of interest.” Thus began an investigation that ended with the journalist confirming to The Times that he had had a relationship with “a character in a report, which became something personal.” All this in the midst of her ex’s threats to make public with names and surnames a relationship that she claims was never physical. For his part, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, married to actress Cheryl Hines, has denied having had any type of relationship with Olivia Nuzzi.
