Like last weekend, it will not be possible to play on the grassy pitches of the city of Caen these January 21 and 22, 2023. Due to “the saturated state of the pitches and the various rainy forecasts announced for this week”, a new decree was issued this Friday, January 20 to close the various non-synthetic pitches in the municipality. The only exception concerns the hybrid lawns of the Venoix complex, managed by Stade Malherbe.
Stade Caennais, which was to receive Maisons-Laffitte in Federal 3, thus sees its match postponed. On the other hand, certain football matches, in particular in the Normandy Cup, may take place on synthetic pitches. Those of the Maurice Fouque stadium, the Joseph Déterville stadium and the Caen Sud stadium will remain open.
