The Boys spin-off Gen V announces new cast for season 2

Some new supers are on the way as Deadline announced Gen V, the spin-off series to The Boys, has made several additions to its cast for season two.

The Boys spin-off Gen V announces new cast for season 2

Joining the series are Keeya King (Yellowjackets), Stephen Kalyn (Warrior Strong), Julia Knope (In The Dark), Stacey McGunnigle (No Sleep ‘Til Christmas), Tait Fletcher (Breaking Bad), Wyatt Dorion (Eerie Hall) and Georgie Murphy (Accused) in recurring roles.

Gen V expands the universe of The Boys to Godolkin University, “the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes—preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt.

Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when superpowers are involved.”

The series also stars Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn. Chance Perdomo also featured in the first season, but earlier this year he tragically died in a motorcycle accident while on his way to begin filming season two, forcing Amazon to delay production and mourn his loss.

Gen V was created by The Boys creator and showrunner Eric Kripke with Even Goldberg and Craig Rosenberg. Michele Fazekas is the showrunner and executive produces alongside Kripke, Goldberg and Seth Rogen. The second season is currently filming in Toronto.
