Terror attack leaves ‘dead and wounded’ as gunfire erupts after ‘suicide bombing’ at Turkish defence company

A terror attack has left a number of people dead and injured at the headquarters of a defence company in Turkey, according to officials.

The attack was carried out against the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) near Ankara, with explosions and gunshots reportedly heard outside the building.

Pictures from the scene show a large plume of smoke rising and substantial damage done to structures outside the building.

Unconfirmed reports in local media have suggested that a suicide bomber targeted the entrance gate before several attackers clashed with security services.

Special forces troops as well as firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
