TelevisaUnivision launches its content portfolio for 2025 in Mexico – El Financiero

TelevisaUnivision Mexicothe Spanish-speaking media giant, presented its portfolio of entertainment, sports and news content for 2025in which successes such as third season of La Casa de los Famosos México, Box Televisa and the return to the Channel of the Stars El Chavo and El Chapulín Colorado.

During the celebration of its Upfront 2025 event, the company highlighted its ability to create audiovisual content for all ages and cultures, as well as its commitment to the development of new technologies to enhance the connection with audiences.

“We have turned our annual Upfront into the most important event in the content industry in our country,” said Daniel Alegre, CEO of TelevisaUnivision.

In a statement, the company reiterated its commitment to remaining the most complete multiplatform media offering in Mexico, since so far in 2024, seven out of 10 people consume TelevisaUnivision content weekly.

In addition, the company highlighted that it has positioned itself as the number one medium in content generation, reaching 57 million unique users per month. Added to the above is the success of ViX, the streaming platform of the company that showed a 60 percent growth in hours consumed in the last 12 months.

“TelevisaUnivision is unique. The world has changed, the landscape has changed and we have also evolved, we are at the forefront of technological innovation. But I can tell you that one thing has not changed: people want unique content and we have the best, most entertaining and unmatched content offering in the world,” added the company’s CEO.

Highlights successes of 2024

TelevisaUnivision highlighted that so far this year, have broken audience records thanks to the content that they have developed in these months, with the second season of La Casa de los Famosos México being one of the most watched programs in the country, with 412 million hours consumed on ViX and more than 213 million votes for the participants of the reality show.

Furthermore, this year they have broadcast successful soap operas such as: El Maleficio, Marea de Pasiones and La historia de Juana. Added to this offer is that of N +, the TelevisaUnivision news platform that this year was recognized by international organizations for having the most extensive and equitable coverage of the 2024 electoral process.
