The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stéphane Dujarric, today recommended a wait when asked about the possibility of a tripartite meeting of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Turkish leader Ersin Tatar, in New York .
Asked by the KYPE during a press briefing, if the UN Secretary General intends to invite President Christodoulidis, and the Turkish leader, with whom he will have separate meetings later this week, to a tripartite meeting with him to discuss the next steps and the possibility of appointing a UN envoy for the Cyprus issue, Mr. Dujarric replied: “I think we will have to wait a bit to see.”
