The Spanish Super Cup is officially returning.
The European league championship is set to take place next year and will have the Kingdom shaking with pure adrenaline and excitement (as usual).
The fifth edition is bringing old favorites to a new location because the top four Spanish league teams will take over Jeddah.
That’s right; after hosting the first-ever Spanish Super Cup in Saudi, the waterfront city once again gearing up to welcome your favorite teams.
So grab your cleats, jerseys, and scarves. This is everything you need to know about the returning event.
Spanish Super Cup 2025
Often referred to as the Supercopa de España, the cup was first held in 1982 as a two-team championship. It has since then evolved and now has four teams, the winners and runner-ups from Copa del Rey and La Liga. The current champions and the second most successful team in the league Real Madrid are set to participate in the cup.
Barcelona is the most decorated team in the cup, with 14 title wins. Real Madrid has 13 and will tie with Barcelona if it wins in 2025.

Next year, Madridistas will take over the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and shake the space with their energy and support for Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, and more.

The exciting sporting event and all of its supporting activities will light up Jeddah from Wednesday, January 8 to Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Spanish Super Cup teams
This year, defending champions Real Madrid will face off against the cup’s most successful team, Barcelona, along with Athletic Bilbao and Real Mallorca (Home of Formula One favorites Ferrari).
After a series of knockout matches, the winners will play against each other for ultimate glory.

- Wednesday, January 8: Real Madrid v Real Mallorca
- Thursday, January 9: Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao
The winning teams from each day face each other on Sunday, January 12 for the finals.
