Shocking moment rude father brazenly dumps his car on stranger’s driveway to dodge school run traffic chaos – only for beautician to angrily shoo him away

This is the shocking moment a brazen father ‘rudely’ attempted to dump his car on a stranger’s driveway in a bid to dodge the after-school traffic chaos.

But the audacious parent was caught red handed by the homeowner who angrily shooed the ‘cheeky’ father away.

When the red Toyota initially pulled up outside Dion Joy’s home in Tameside, Greater Manchester, she thought the vehicle was simply turning around.

However it quickly dawned on the 33-year-old beautician that the motorists intended to use her driveway as a free parking space.

Doorbell footage showed the shameless man pull up onto her tarmacked driveway and get out at around 3.18pm, before seeing Ms Joy glaring at him through her window.

He immediately signals towards the primary school, which is three doors down, suggesting he was picking up his child.

Despite being a ‘bit angry’ Dion calmly affirms to the man he cannot stay in her drive, answering: ‘No, can you get off my drive please?’

Although he received an definite no, the father continues to attempt to try and barter with the mother-of-three by mentioning his daughter.

However his pleas are ignored, with Dion explaining it was her boyfriend’s car park space – and that she was due to go on the school run herself in ten minutes time.

After ordering the man to leave numerous times, he eventually reverses and drives away – and Ms Joy can be heard remarking on his behaviour being ‘so rude’.

The mother of three – aged 10, seven and two – has been showered with praise online for how calmly she dealt with the incident.

Ms Joy insists she remained calm because the situation happened at her home, but continued to emphasis that the space ‘isn’t a car park, it’s a driveway’.

The video has gained quite a bit of traction online, amassing over 245,000 views with users telling Dion she was ‘too polite’.

Recalling the incident, Ms Joy said: ‘It was the sound of his car that made me stand up and look because it sounded like it was going to fall apart.

‘I thought he was turning around but then he got out of the car and I thought ‘hell no, you cheeky little g*t’.

‘I was a bit angry but I didn’t want to kick off with somebody outside my house who’s going to be there all the time. I wanted to be careful.

She added: ‘He tried to explain that he was just going to get his daughter as if it was okay. That was surprising.

‘I need to go out on the school run myself so It’s a good job I caught him when I did because he would have blocked me in.

‘I’m glad people agreed with what I said and told me I handled it really well.

‘Some people said I could have left him there for a minute but it’s not a car park, it’s a driveway.’

Dion revealed that she and her neighbours are often plagued with car parking chaos as the nearby school’s car park is small and parents often struggle to find space.

The salon owner also added that the brazen dad hasn’t tried to park on her drive since the confrontation took place.

As thousands of social media users flocked to the comment section of the video, one penned: ‘The worst part is if you hadn’t been at the window to say something he’d have just left it there thinking that’s acceptable.’

‘I get moody if someone parks outside my house on the school run and that’s not even my land,’ a second quipped.

‘You were too polite,’ another chimed in, to which Dion said: ‘I agree I was quite tame.’

A fourth, who was left baffled as the parent’s train of thought, wondered: ‘What was he thinking?’
