Ricardo Sa Pinto has been picking up the cards with great frequency at the start of the season and the question is… where will he stop if he continues at this rate.
In the eight matches played by APOEL so far, the irritable coach got a card in half of them! In particular, the Portuguese received a yellow card in both matches with Dila Gori, in the return match with Ghent and in yesterday’s (3/9) derby with Omonia.
The way it is going, assuming that he will continue on the blue and yellow bench (necessary footnote as he has his back against the wall from early on), Sa Pinto will… make dust and crumble the “record” of Alexei Spilevski. The coach of Aris in last year’s championship collected eight cards (seven yellow, one red), which is the highest number for a coach in the Cypriot league in the last several years.
We remind you that Sa Pinto also counts one… suspension in a friendly against Levski.
