A prominent YouTube gaming couple known for their popularity in the online ‘zombie’ community is at war over wild allegations of sexual assault and grooming in the wake of their ugly split.
MrTLexify – whose real name is Lex Iwan – has amassed 1.56 million followers since he joined the platform in 2013.
While streaming on the platform Twitch, watching his romance with Reagan McNulty – known as puresoftie – delighted mutual fans, until the two seemingly broke up two years ago after McNulty stopped appearing in his streams.
Now, the relationship has turned sour, with McNulty airing explosive claims that Iwan ‘groomed’ her to become his girlfriend while she was underage.
He has hit back by insisting the relationship began when both of them were under 18. He denies all claims of impropriety and has not faced any kind of criminal investigation.
But the scandal has sent shockwaves through their once-shared fanbase.

One X user said: ‘Chat Lex has been cooked, unsubscribing after being a sub for almost ten years — prayers to this lady. I hope you find peace.’
Another wrote: ‘Stay strong Lex, life long fan of yours, hate to see you dealing with so much in the background. Take care man.’
Iwan is a part of what’s called the zombie gaming community, who play and post videos of themselves playing Call of Duty (COD) zombies mode— a popular survival mode featured in several COD titles, particularly the Black Ops series.
The allegations of Iwan’s inappropriate behavior surfaced in July after some members of the community began to speculate on the timeline of the two-and-a-half-year age-gap relationship with his ex-girlfriend 23-year-old Reagan McNulty, known as ‘puresoftie’ or Wren on her social media.
Iwan, who did not respond to the DailyMail.com’s request for comment, hit back at speculation by saying his relationship with McNulty had started when they were both minors and accused McNulty of extortion.

McNulty is a self-described e-girl, a subculture influenced heavily by emo, scene and mall goth culture combined with Japanese and Korean street fashion.
Following the questions that surfaced about their relationship and Iwan’s X post, McNulty posted on July 28: ‘All because he was lying on my name, to direct the hate he was getting onto me. I have lost the most important and formative years of my life to Lex Adrian Iwan, and I refuse to continue to lose more years.’
McNulty claimed the two had met at a ZHouse, a collective that gets together to play COD zombies mode, meet and greet in Santa Monica on January 24, 2016.
‘Lex and I met in 2016 and started speaking when I was 15 years old and he was 18 years old. We formed an online relationship before we met in person with the intention of dating in 2017,’ she said in a statement.
A year later on July 4, 2017, McNulty said the two met in person. That night, they allegedly had their first kiss while staying in the same hotel room.

The two would allegedly meet again on July 10, 2017, when Lex brought her to Disneyland. McNulty alleged that one night, Lex groped her breasts.
McNulty said as the relationship continued, the sexual advances ramped up. She said that Iwan lied about her being 18 to his gaming friends and would try to get her intoxicated so she’d sleep with him.
‘Lex even changed my birth year on a passport for an escape room that he, all his friends, and I did together so that no one would catch on,’ she claimed.
She said their sexual relationship escalated further on August 31, 2017, when McNulty alleged that they had sex in a hotel room when she was 16 and he was 19.

McNulty, who sells explicit photos of herself on the subscription platform Passes, didn’t provide pictures of the hotel room, but did include Snapchat photos of the two showing them together in Los Angeles, California.
‘He begged me to have sex with him since that was our last night together and he was going back home to Canada,’ she said of the alleged incident.
‘The whole experience was awful. I did not want to have sex with him.
‘We made up the next morning and said our goodbyes to each other. He made plans to come back and see me.’
Responding to these claims, Iwan posted a video titled ‘My Ex’ on YouTube, in which he addressed the allegations of sexual assault and grooming, but did not make it clear when their relationship started.
‘There’s proof of her lying saying that she wanted to turn 18, how the only way for us to work was for her to lie also about her age,’ he said.
He included screenshots of X direct messages from McNulty where she described herself as a virgin in 2020 and instances where she allegedly lied about her age to his friends and him. He also alleged that the passport with the fake age was her idea.

Iwan said that every encounter between them was consensual, and there was ‘no proof otherwise’. But in a separate document he shared, he also seemingly did not dispute his romantic relationship with then-underage McNulty.
In California, the age of consent is 18, and there are no Romeo and Juliet laws — this means under California law having sex with a minor is statutory rape, even if they are close in age or a minor themselves. If the minor were to claim to be of age, the adult would still be at fault.
Iwan also alleged in that document that McNulty physically assaulted him, caused property damage and extorted him.
Iwan said that McNulty began extorting him from August 2021 to July 2023 in exchange for his silence or she’d go public with her allegations. He showed PayPal transactions to McNulty’s account totaling $38,325.
He also provided text messages where McNulty allegedly demanded money from him and threatened to out him as an alleged groomer and pedophile.

Based on the text messages he shared, it is unclear if McNulty was demanding money in exchange for her silence.
He said this stopped when Iwan sent a cease-and-desist letter on August 25, 2023. He also filed a police report in Canada on July 23, 2024 about the grooming allegations McNulty was spreading on X.
McNulty uploaded a two-hour response video to YouTube on September 2. But the video was removed for violating YouTube’s terms of service agreement because she included nude photos of Iwan and her that were taken when she was a minor.
Since then, her X profile has been banned.
Under Section 2260 of Title 18 of the United States Code prohibits the production, transportation, possession and distribution of child pornography and is considered a felony offense.
Revenge porn is a misdemeanor crime in California.
McNulty could not immediately be reached for comment by DailyMail.com.
