The Fiscal Section of the National Police, in collaboration with Mindelo Customs, seized, on October 8th, 68 packages of pyrotechnic materials from Portugal. The operation took place in one of ENAPOR’s warehouses, located in the Port of Mindelo, São Vicente.
According to the official statement from the National Police, the materials were packed in a volume that contained several articles. During the action, a citizen of Cape Verdean nationality was identified as responsible for sending or possessing the materials.
Pyrotechnics include, among other things, fireworks, matchsticks, pyrotechnic devices for activating ejector seats, for inflating the airbag system, marking and emergencies of vessels on the high seas through flares, smoke signals, among other things. others.
