In a statement, Gimnástica has condemned and regretted what happened and recalled that the club “has always positioned itself against any type of violence and harassment”. In addition, it has announced that it is working to clarify the facts and take the “pertinent measures in any of the jurisdictional areas that we deem appropriate.”
Likewise, the Torrelaveguense club has thanked the Asturian team for its collaboration, which “has offered us their help to recognize those involved in such unfortunate events.”
As reported by Gimnástica in their statement, “our players and their families were involved in this unfortunate situation when they returned to their vehicles to begin his return home”, and has sent his support “to all the people who were affected in this incident.
“Our entity and the competent authorities are the main interested parties in getting to the bottom of what happened and we will put into effect knowledge of CD Covadonda any news in our investigation so that they can take the measures they consider appropriate with the people who have been involved,” said the Cantabrian club.
For its part, CD Covandonga has also “deeply” regretted the facts and has condemned any type of violence.
