A Palestinian father-of-three is reportedly the only fatality following Iran‘s blitz on Israel last night after footage captured the moment he was crushed to death by falling shrapnel in West Bank.
The horror clip released by Israel, saw the man who has been identified by Palestinian meida as labourer Samer al-Asali, 37, being instantly killed by the massive Iranian rocket part.
The shocking footage captured the moment the man stood on the side of a road in the West Bank village of Nu’eima, close to Jericho, when a giant part of shrapnel dropped from the sky.
As al-Asali milled around under a streetlamp on the empty road, he went to take a step off of the pavement before the large piece of shrapnel landed on his head forcing him to the ground.
Four other Palestinians were also reportedly injured by shrapnel from the same missile.

‘A Palestinian worker in Jericho was killed when pieces of a rocket fell from the sky and hit him,’ Jericho governor Hussein Hamayel told AFP.
Palestinian meida reported that al-Asali was originally from Jabalia, Gaza – the stronghold of Israel’s terrorist enemy Hamas.
No other deaths were reported early today – but at least four people were said to have suffered minor wounds inside Israel while others were left injured while running for cover from the falling debris.
Images circulating on social media of the tragic incident show al-Asali’s body covered in a sheet with the metres-long missile case ominously lying next to him.
Al-Asali was one of the thousnds of Gazan labourers given Israeli work permits who were then left stranded in Israel following Hamas’ catastrophic October 7 attack – and then forced to seek refuge in West Bank.
Iran last night fired a barrage of nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli territory with Israeli military now preparing a ‘significant retaliation’ to the shocking attack.
The IDF said it intercepted ‘a large number’ of the ballistic missiles thanks to the country’s Arrow and David’s Sling missile defense systems, and assistance from US destroyers and Jordanian interceptors in the region.
Reports now suggest Israel, which has promised to strike ‘powerfully’ in response to Iran, could go after the country’s oil facilities.
Israel Defence Forces’ Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari branded the multiple strikes ‘a severe and dangerous escalation’ and warned ‘there will be consequences.’
Hagari added: ‘There were a small number of hits in the centre of Israel, and other hits in Southern Israel.
‘The majority of the incoming missiles were intercepted by Israel and a defensive coalition led by the United States.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also defiantly said last night that ‘Iran made a big mistake tonight and will pay for it’.
Hezbollah this morning unleashed more than 100 rockets into Israel, with the group claiming it has targeted soldiers massing on the border as the Israeli Defence Forces ordered more troops and armoured units to join its ground invasion of Lebanon.
The militant group said this morning it had confronted Israeli forces who were infiltrating the southern village of Adaisseh and forced them to retreat, claims Israel has not commented on.
The Iran-backed group also said that its fighters had targeted ‘a large infantry force’ in Misgav Am across the border with ‘rockets and artillery’, as well as troop gatherings in three other locations, one with Burkan short-range ballistic missiles.
Meanwhile in Gaza, Israeli strikes killed at least 32 people overnight as the military launched ground operations in the hard-hit city of Khan Younis.
Israel has continued to strike what it says are militant targets across Gaza nearly a year after Hamas’ October 7 attack ignited the war, even as attention has shifted to Lebanon and growing tensions with Iran.
