Mid-Hudson Valley arrests report: Nov. 26, 2024

The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Any person(s) charged with an offense or offenses are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Kingston

Endangering/assault with weapon: Jolina Elise Torres, 18, of Ellenville, was arrested by Kingston police at 1 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at police headquarters and charged with felony assault with a weapon and intent to cause physical injury, and with the misdemeanor of acting in a manner injurious to a child. Torres was sent to Ulster County Jail where she is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail. This arrest was initially reported on Oct. 25, but Torres’ name and status were initially withheld by police. Details were released by police pursuant to a state Freedom of Information Law request.

Criminal contempt/aggravated family offense: Stephon Isaiah Nieves, 20, of Wappingers Falls, was arrested by Kingston police at 10:06 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Super 8 Motel, 387 Washington Ave., and charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt of a court order. Nieves was also arrested by Kingston police at the Delaware County Jail in Delhi at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, and charged with the felonies of aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, and criminal contempt. Police initially declined to provide additional information, or release the defendant’s status in both instances. Details were released by police pursuant to a state Freedom of Information Law request.

Obstructing governmental administration: Antoine Deon Lacey, 30, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police at 5:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, and charged with misdemeanor obstruction of governmental administration. Lacey was already being held at the Ulster County Jail after being arrested by Kingston police at 9:17 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, on Garraghan Drive and charged with the felonies of strangulation and criminal contempt (physical contact), and with the misdemeanors of acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17 and aggravated harassment (injure family). Lacey was returned to the jail without bail. Additional information was not immediately available.

Criminal contempt: Elijah Gray, 56, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, and charged with the misdemeanors of criminal contempt of a court order, use of leased/rented/loaned vehicle not equipped with a court-ordered interlock device and aggravated unlicensed driving. Gray was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

Ellenville

DWI: Jody L. Knapp, 47, of Mountain Dale, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 2:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or above 0.18%, more than twice the legal limit. Knapp was released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court.
