The list was awaited by professionals and food lovers alike. This Monday, March 6, the Michelin Guide unveiled, live from Strasbourg, its winners 2023 freshly starred restaurants.
This year they are 39 establishments to have obtained their first star. On the Côte d’Azur, near Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), a restaurant is one of them. Another was awarded the “passion dessert” prize. The opportunity to tour all the starred restaurants on the Riviera.
Château Eza obtains its first star
It’s done, the Eza Castle, located in Eze, is now one of the starred restaurants on the Côte d’Azur. This luxurious hotel is nestled in the medieval village of the town. With its 14 rooms and suites, the establishment houses a gourmet restaurant, whose kitchens are overseen by the chef Justin Schmitt.
On the menu: Mediterranean and French cuisine. A lunch menu is offered at 70 euros per person, excluding drinks. In the evening, a tasting menu awaits customers. It is necessary to count 140 euros per person. Before earning its first star, Château Eza was already listed in the red guide.
The distinguished Mirazur pastry chef
Restaurant Mirazurin Menton, voted best restaurant in the world in 2019, was also rewarded this year. Marius Dufay, pastry chef of this famous establishment, was honored with the “passion dessert” prize.
They are seven professionals to have received it. The Mirazur nevertheless retains its three stars. He obtained his first star in 2007. Argentinian chef Mauro Colagreco, also known for his many appearances on the show Top chefbroadcast on M6, offers cuisine inspired by “the sea, the mountains and the fruits and vegetables grown in its own gardens”.

In the Principality of Monaco, several restaurants are distinguished by one or more stars. The establishments Pavyllon, Le Grill, Le Yoshi, La Table d’Antonio Salvatore have one star from the Michelin Guide. The Blue Bay got two. While Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris, in the heart of Monaco, has three stars.
