Mediaset España rejoins the Television Academy, after ten years away

The Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts and Mediaset España have renewed the collaboration agreement and membership of the Advisory Council of the Institution for the development of joint activities, after the audiovisual group to which chains such as Telecinco either Fouramong others, will no longer be associated with the Academy in 2014.

Under this agreement, which It is very good news for the sector, the audiovisual group will collaborate with the founding objectives of the Academy to “carrying out activities aimed at promoting and defending the public image of audiovisuals and all of its professionals, to the development and improvement of their trades and to the promotion of debate and dialogue in the sector in Spain”.

The agreement has been signed by the corporate general director of Mediaset España, Mario Rodríguez Valderas, and the president of the Television Academy, Maria Casadowho is also the presenter of Telecinco’s Weekend News.

Mediaset España will provide the Television Academy with resources to carry out activities aimed at promoting the development of the audiovisual industry and will participate in all events and awards organized by the institution. In addition, he will attend the annual meetings of the Academy Council, making whatever contributions he deems appropriate, like the rest of its members.

“With this alliance, an essential link is added to the Council of an institution that is increasingly representative, diverse and meeting point for professionals, general, public and private televisionand the audiovisual platforms that operate in our country”, highlighted from the Television Academy.

Mediaset España is one of the main audiovisual groups and content creators nationwide. It has seven television channels –Telecinco, Cuatro, Factory of Fiction, Boing, Energy, Divinity and BeMad-; two content platforms: Mitele, with all of Mediaset España’s live and on-demand offerings, and Mtmad, a digital native video channel; and a subscription platform with exclusive content, Mitele PLUS.
