Yesterday afternoon (03), Corinthians hosted Palmeiras at the Neo Química Arena and were unable to clear the scoreboard. A 0-0 that reflects what the game was like, with few chances to score.
However, the match reserved some emotion for the second-half stoppage time. This is because, after 45 minutes, they had two expulsions: Murilo, from Palmeiras, for complaining, and Maycon, from Corinthians, for a violent tackle on Endrick.
In the case of Maycon’s expulsion, Palmeiras almost scored a goal. Endrick was tackled, but managed to play the ball to Jhon Jhon, who rolled it to Breno Lopes, in front of the goal. But the Palmeiras striker stopped at Cássio.
I see many people brushing aside and relativizing Maycon’s entry into Endrick.
Switch the players and you will see the magic happen. We would even ask for prison for Palmeiras!
Treating this with normality is not being a clubber, it is being a scoundrel! pic.twitter.com/rzgnX5O94e

Wife exalts Maycon
On her social network, Lyarah, wife of the Corinthians midfielder, made a post that caught the attention of Palmeiras fans.
She posted images of Maycon’s entry into Endrick, which caused the Corinthian’s expulsion, writing positive messages, praising the violent entry.
“Incredible sequence, which demonstrates race and the essence of Corinthians! Unfortunately the goal didn’t go in, but…”, said Maycon’s wife.
As if the criminal entry into the @endrickii does Maycon’s wife still publish this? pic.twitter.com/2CIefiwvEe

It is worth noting that referee Anderson Daronco only gave a yellow card on the play. However, with the help of VAR, Daronco corrected it and applied the red.
Palmeiras and Corinthians focus on the World Cup
Palmeiras still has a remote chance of becoming Brazilian champions and Corinthians of being relegated in the Brasileirão. However, it is clear that the focus of both is on another competition.
Timão, for example, is in the semi-finals of the South American Championship, where they will face Fortaleza, in a Brazilian duel.
Verdão, on the other hand, is in another Libertadores semi-final. And the opponent will be the powerful Boca Juniors, just as it was in 2001 and 2018. In both, Boca emerged victorious.
If they pass, Palmeiras will play in the Brazilian final, against Fluminense or Internacional, and could become the only Brazilian four-time champion of the competition.
Timão, on the other hand, can save the bad year with an international title and still guarantee a place in the next Libertadores and also in the next Copa do Brasil.
