A bitter-tasting departure
In four years with Karmine Corp, he won four EU Masters and two French champion titles. Despite everything, the departure of the team is difficult to digest for “Saken”, as he explains in an interview with The Team this Sunday, November 10. He was told in the spring that the team was going to be remodeled after the elimination of the “KC” during the European Championship.
“I was quite disappointed, especially given my internal work which was ok, I think. I knew from the beginning that this would be the end, that at the end of the year it would be ciao. It’s difficult to take after so much time…”he laments. “After my first year at Karmine, I saw myself staying here, building the project from start to finish. I found myself in a bubble, it was Karmine, and I didn’t see anything else besides it, the rest didn’t interest me… So it’s a pretty brutal ending, which I didn’t have imagined possible »adds Lucas Fayard.
In September, Karmine Corp became the first e-sports club in Europe to play in its own room. THE “Arenas of the Agora”a recently renovated performance hall located in Evry in Essonne can accommodate 2,000 people, including members of the “Blue Wall”, the team’s vibrant association of supporters. This does not prevent the “KC” from filling Bercy or La Défense Arena during big events, as was the case on Saturday evening.
