Liam Payne, former member of the English band One Direction, died this Wednesday in Buenos Aires fall from the third floor of a hotel, as confirmed by official sources.
The death of the 31-year-old artist was confirmed by the director of the medical emergency services of the city of Buenos Aires, Alberto Crescenti, who told local media that the fall caused him “very serious injuries that immediately caused his death.”
Payne, 31, became known after his participation in the program X Factorwhere he met the rest of the members of One Direction: Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Thomlinson. The band separated years later after becoming a global phenomenon.
According to the media Clarionthe Police went to the hotel after receiving a call alerting about “an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
