College GameDay had a show for the record books on Saturday.
The weekly college football preview show had crazy numbers for the Colorado State-Colorado game. For starters, it averaged 2,267,000 viewers and peaked at three million viewers during the final hour.Â
It was the best September episode of the show since 2010 and the third-best September show in its history.
Once Kirk Herbstreit heard about all of that, he was psyched.Â

This was GameDay’s first visit to Boulder since 1996 and Colorado fans made sure to bring it for that edition of the show.
GameDay will look to keep the good times rolling when it visits South Bend, Indiana for the highly anticipated Ohio State-Notre Dame rematch from last year.Â
That game will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night and be televised by NBC.Â
