Jorge Ponce, in ‘La Revuelta’: “We renounce the Ondas Prize”

Before receiving in The Revolt to one of his guests this Thursday, the chief inspector of the National Police Juan Enrique Soto, Broncano gave way to one of his collaborators, Jorge Ponce.

The man from Malaga stated that “In last Wednesday’s program we crossed a border that we cannot allow or do and do that would not have happened.

A cut was made in the editing of the program for which Dani Fernández’s musicians prepare the instruments. A label was put up to indicate that that piece had been edited,” Ponce recalled.

“You are right to say it, it is very serious. We can’t make mistakes like that“added the presenter while they played the images of the error from Wednesday’s program.

It said: ‘And after the magic of television happens’. “After with an accent… In the edition we realized and we had to choose between the spelling mistake or not broadcasting the program“, highlighted the man from Jaen, while Ponce acknowledged that he was embarrassed: “On top of that, the writing was weak. “That’s pissing on prepositions.”

The man from Malaga addressed the spectators in an apologetic tone: “Television is a very powerful mediumcapable of entertaining, making you think, disconnecting and, even so, not everything goes on television”.

“And look, things are worth something… what we are not going to allow is that a language that is more than nine centuries old, that goes from Cantar del mio Cid to Rajoy’s column in Marca, be vexed, perverted, even if it is due to human error“he added.

But what left viewers speechless was when Ponce pointed out: “What we have to do is give up the Ondas Awards that they have given us”.

“Not giving up on Ondas, it is very difficult to win it”Broncano told him. “We give it to the second one, to the one who came after us. We are going to purge all possible responsibility so that this does not happen again,” he said.

Finally, Ponce pointed out that he wanted to show his face as one of the directors and those responsible for the project: “I offer my cheek so that someone from the public, representing society and the Spanish language, slapped my face“.

A girl from the audience went up on stage and hit the man from Malaga with more force than expected: “There he goes!” exclaimed Broncano’s partner in the program’s production company.
