Cartwheel joins Cappucino Jones, Bryce Donovan, and Zayda Steel as the first wave of wrestlers to join the promotion’s new system.
Cartwheel has been a prominent independent figure since making his debut in 2019. In recent years he has become a frequent talent on GCW shows, appearing as many as 26 times so far for them in 2024 alone. He has been booked in big spots all around the world, including appearances in AAA, NJPW, GLEAT, and RevPro.
Since ROH re-launched its weekly TV program last year, Cartwheel also became a recurring talent on their programming. He has wrestled on eight different episodes of the show this year, most recently meeting AR Fox in a match last month.
The new WWE ID program, which was announced last week, provides a pathway for independent wrestlers to work their way into the top wrestling brand. The WWE ID designation will provide wrestlers with “enhanced developmental opportunities,” per the official site.
