The opposition leader has appeared before the media to demand Pedro Sanchez let him resign. It is the second time, and in just a week, that Alberto Núñez Feijóo urges the president in parliament to leave office for be “surrounded” by corruption. In the same way as last week, the popular has addressed the socialist as “number 1”, as the members of the Koldo plotaccording to the UCO report and the judge of the National Court. Also, as in the control session last Wednesday, Feijóo stressed that Sánchez was aware of the corruption in his party. “There’s no way it all happened without their knowledge.”
The popular president has defended that the resignation he demands is “founded, motivated and considered”, shortly after the judge in the Koldo case asks the Supreme Court to investigate the former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE and Minister of Transport, as well as Sánchez’s right-hand man. “The judge says that there are well-founded and serious indications that Sánchez’s former number two was part of a criminal organization. It is impossible for this to happen without the knowledge of number 1 (Sánchez). There are no possible firewalls, without (José Luis) Ábalos there would be no Sánchez.”
However, the opposition leader has launched a series of questions that he will direct as soon as he has the opportunity to Sánchez, whom he has once again accused of being “hidden” and avoiding the press. Following the recent order to investigate the former socialist minister as well as many other ramifications of the plot that point to Moncloa, Feijóo opened the judicial cases against Sánchez’s wife and brother. “Never has a president of the Government had his personal entourage in this state.” And given this, the popular has urged not to resign: “We cannot get used to living in this situation of putrefaction of the Presidency of the Government.”
