Fernando Alonso does not see the end of his adventure as a professional driver close and believes that he has left “at least 40 or 50 more in the next two years” and could be champion again if he has “the best car on the grid.”
“Of course you can win a title at 40. I think Lewis is 40 or 39 now, 40 next year. And he’s a championship contender with Ferrari. The car is the main thing. What it takes to win a championship at 40 years old is the same as what it takes at 20 and with 30, which is the best car on the grid,” he added.
