Owner of the best overall campaign in Paulistão, Palmeiras ended the group stage of the State with a goalless draw against Guarani, last Sunday afternoon, in Campinas. In the 12 games played, coach Abel Ferreira used 28 players, seven of them trained at the club itself.
Against Bugre, the team had four home stars: midfielders Gabriel Menino and Fabinho and forwards Giovani and Endrick.
Gabriel Menino, who had a meteoric rise in the professional squad in 2020, dropped in performance in 2022, however, he recovered football in the current season and has been an important part of the Portuguese coach’s scheme.
