Here are the exact red lipstick shades in Taylor Swift’s make-up bag

If there’s one thing for certain about Taylor Swift, it’s that her make-up is always going to be flawless. Whether she’s just finished a three-hour show in the pouring rain or she’s sipping a vodka cranberry while cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, her lipstick never budges an inch. Tay-voodoo, or what?

Here are the exact red lipstick shades in Taylor Swift’s make-up bag

Of course, she’s best known for that whole ‘red lip, classic’ look, à la the Blank Space and Look What You Made Me Do music videos. But at the 2024 VMAs and recent Chiefs’ games, the star has been opting for a more peachy neutral.

With two signature shades that look so good, you’d quite frankly never need to shop around for lipstick again. After all, if these two colours have seen Taylor through all the glitz and glamour of her past two decades, they’re probably going to suffice for our wild lifestyle, given we consider nipping to the supermarket on a Saturday to be ‘going out’.

All this begs the question: what lipstick is Miss Swift using? Well, it’s a sad reality that the star’s glam squad is super secretive about what brands and products they use. But in a recent Instagram story, Taylor’s longtime make-up artist, Lottie Turk, uncharacteristically dished the gossip on the singer’s go-to nude lippy.

‘So many people [are] asking about this lipstick that Taylor wears all the time,’ Lottie wrote, sharing a snap of Swift at last month’s VMAs. ‘It’s Nars’ Morocco lipstick,’ the MUA revealed. ‘She’s worn it for years.’

The warm, cinnamony shade comes in two forms: a £17.85 traditional lipstick and a £21.60 velvety soft matte lip lacquer. Since Turk shared the shade it’s sold-out on certain websites, so be sure to sign up for restock updates on narscosmetics.co.uk

When it comes to her iconic red lip, sleuthing Swifties have identified two go-to products. The first is Pat McGrath LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Elson 4, which McGrath confirmed is the same shade Taylor wore in her Bejeweled music video and during her 2022 VMAs appearance. It’s a slightly darker red than the 34-year-old opted for during earlier eras, making it perfect as we head into autumn.

Then there’s MAC’s Ruby Woo, which, given it’s one of the most iconic red lipstick shades in the world, makeup aficionados won’t be surprised to hear Taylor’s obsessed with. Back in 2015, Tay-Tay told People: ‘I recently discovered Ruby Woo by MAC, which I think everyone knows is a staple. I was the last person to discover it.’

There you have it: all the lipsticks you’ll find stashed in Taylor’s vanity. No doubt savvy Swifties will have banned them all in no time, so make sure to shop your favourite quickly to avoid missing out. That goes for you too, Taylor. Sorry!
