-Paula, first of all, congratulations on your second book, Eating and stuff. How are you living it?

-I am very excited about this new project; For me they are the recipes of my life. A year ago I made a vision boardwhich is a kind of panel in which you illustrate all the things you want to do and achieve during the year. It was very strong because one of them was to write a book, and it has been fulfilled.

-So, was it something considered?

-A year ago, when we met at the premiere from Berlin I let you know, although I didn’t want to tell it because it had only been two months since they had proposed it to me. That’s why I mentioned that I had a project related to cooking, so many pointed out that it could be a book or opening a restaurant.

-How did your passion for cooking come about?

For me, cooking is showing that I love you. I express my affection like this, although it is true that in my house, when I was little, my parents cooked me very normally: fish, vegetables, soups… They were not super elaborate dishes either, but they were “conventional” dishes that a girl should eat. of my age. My curiosity was born to know how to make dishes that I wanted and that they didn’t cook at home. Over the years I have become fond of, and making batch cooking —a way to organize meals for the entire week by cooking in a single session— has helped me throughout this process and because of my love for cooking. Furthermore, my grandfather on my father’s side was a cook and had a bar, so I have always had the connection with cooking.

-Through your social networks you have shown your most culinary side, but do you usually cook elaborate dishes every day or do you settle for an omelette?

– Well, it depends, I’m not going to lie to you (laughs). I try to optimize my time, and I think the key is to be organized. If, for example, one day I prepare all the meals for the week, then I try to cook more elaborate dishes, but if one night comes and I don’t have the time or desire, I am quite practical. That’s why I like this book, because you can find very basic recipes, but prepared in a way that gives them their own touch.

-What can the reader find in the book?

-From a recipe with bolognese with philadelphia, chicken piccata, beef tacos, noquis with pesto and mortadella… Easy recipes, where you just have to buy the ingredients and let yourself go.

-For example, I am bad at cooking, can I buy the book?

-Yes, totally. This is the good thing about it: in the end they are recipes that anyone in the kitchen can make. They are very simple, so they are suitable for all audiences (laughs). Another thing that I really like is that in the index I have put a kind of box so that people can cross out the recipes that they make and try. It’s a detail, but I’m a big fan of making listsI wanted the reader to have it.

-Your first cookbook, will the next one be a restaurant?

-Well, it is something complicated, because the hospitality industry is very sacrificed. When my life is more settled and I can make a living from this, I would like to open a small restaurant, with six tables and cook myself. It’s my dream, but right now investing time and other resources in opening a restaurant in the short term makes me a little dizzy, for now.

-Do you have any professional projects in sight?

-This week the premiere podcast Guilty, where the concept is not to be afraid to give our opinion. Therefore, I will be surrounded by people who show themselves as they are, without filters, and there we will talk about all the topics, and we will talk about the fact that there are no good or bad, and that everyone can express their opinion without fear of being judge him.
