He complains that a cafeteria closes without prior notice and the owner responds forcefully: “Absolute lack of empathy”

The world of hospitality is one of the most affected when it comes to receiving criticism from citizens. There are many who complain about the opening and closing times of the establishments, something that an Internet user has criticized about the Boreo cafeteria, located in Moaña (Vigo).

“Some wanting to work and set up a company and others They allow themselves the luxury of closing with all the bread and pastries at the door. “Someone explain this to me,” he noted along with a photograph showing the closed premises, but with all the products fresh out of the oven.

The owner of the establishment echoed this criticism and decided to respond to the user. “This thing you just did We find it incredibly disrespectful.“, is the first sentence contained in his statement that has been shared by the X (formerly Twitter) SoyCamarero account, which compiles reviews and complaints from both employees and customers.

Next, the owner explains that the reason they had to close the store was because one of his employees, in charge of opening it, was feeling very ill. “As you understand, these things can happen, our employees are people just like you and our response was: don’t worry, go home, we will find a solution,” he continues.

But the answer doesn’t end there. The owner wanted to speak out as a person and not as the manager of the business: “The impunity with which comments are made without having even an iota of knowledge of what is happening, the absolute lack of empathythe ease of judging others, criticism for sport…”.

Ironically, the person in charge has reproached him that he hopes he feels “proud” of his comment and invites him to dedicate “10% of the time” that he has spent creating the cafeteria “working 20 hours a day and sleeping two on the kitchen floor.” “I’m sure that so that you put in half of what I didyou can also set up your company,” he remarks.

This response was applauded by hundreds of Internet users who reacted in defense of the owner of the cafeteria and even some felt identified with him. “I have been closed literally three days a year for three years (I am open from Monday to Sunday). They have come to pick me up at home one of the afternoons I rest (after five hours working) and put a note on the glass”, “I had criticism for having an employee with Covid and I was sick. I closed four hours in a week (one afternoon) and people were angry,” are some of the responses.

In parallel, other reactions from users were related to the premises’ own photography. In the image you can see more of the ground than the establishment itself, something that has caught the attention of users due to the layout of the tiles: “I thought it was a criticism of the street tiles”, “They give me OCD”, “I have empathy with the worker and the owner of the premises, but I refuse to have it with the son of the devil who laid the tiles of that manner”.
