MUSIC – Gazo is back. After three years of preparation, the French rapper unveiled this Friday, November 29, his new album, Apocalypsea record which notably features the American rap star Offset with whom the interpreter of Flashback allegedly had an altercation a few weeks ago.
“Sometimes, Americans behave in ways here that we wouldn’t have back home”begins by explaining Gazo in the columns of Parisianthis Friday. “So they simply must not do it to us. In life you need respect, that’s all and I don’t care about names. »
Mid-November, the celebrity news site TMZ shared a video on social media in which Offset could be seen being attacked by a man while getting into a car in Paris, leading to a violent fight between members of his entourage and those of Gazo. “I’m going to shoot you”we hear Offset shouting.
“ Now it’s settled »
The reasons for this violent altercation have never been revealed. The two rappers, who would have seen each other at this time as part of their featuring, had never spoken before.
According to influencer Noah Lunsi, it’s all Offset’s fault, who came more than two hours late to shoot the video for the famous song, Wemby. He claimed in a video on social networks that Gazo’s teams then went to the American rapper’s hotel to demand a large sum in compensation.
Which Gazo denies. “We did not pay this duo contrary to what has been said. This $150,000 story is false.”he explained, still Parisian. “ And with my team, we don’t care about the buzz. We don’t need that to get people talking about us. I would have liked to avoid all this because I know he has children and they may have phones. Now it’s settled. »
Offset is an artist he has listened to for a long time. Among the most listened to French-speaking artists in the world, Gazo also specifies that this song was not designed to work abroad: “It’s not a record company move. » “It was important for my personal story”he concludes.
