Entertainment for 0-6 year olds: the igloo festival takes place this weekend in Pont-Audemer

A festival of early childhood (0-6 years), the igloo festivalis organized on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January 2023, at Pont Audemer (Eure) and Routot. Here is the complete program.

Friday January 20

  • 4:30 p.m. – Toddler snack : organization of a snack for toddlers from 0 to 3 years old at the Routot media library.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Hush show! it’s night / Compagnie Pataconte: series of shows created and performed by Hélène Martinot on the themes: night, bedtime ritual, evening story, hugs, sleep and dreams… Hélène draws her inspiration from the repertoire of tales, nursery rhymes and songs, playing on the musicality of the words, the rhythm of the sentences, the color of the sounds… She illustrates her words with the help of carefully chosen children’s albums, then invites the spectators to penetrate even more into the story by gradually opening her different suitcases, like so many of Little Pocket Theatres. Saturday January 21

  • 10 a.m. – MMicro-Cine and Animation (Micro-Folie de Pont-Audemer). Micro-Ciné at the Micro-Folie with screening of two short films for toddlers on the theme of nature: Goutte d’eau and Je suis un pebble, followed by a creative workshop on Inuit culture. Each participating child will leave with a 3D printed keychain. Total duration: 30 mins / Free places limited by reservation.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Classical guitar (music school). At the Echo for the general public, a little musical moment around the classical guitar. Duration: 25 mins / Limited free places on registration.

  • 11 a.m. & 3 p.m. – Monologue of a well-groomed dog / Company Toutito Teatro (Theatre the shine). The life of a family told through the point of view of their four-legged friend during his brushing at the canine groomer… Duration: 25 mins / Limited places (reservation recommended – 7€/5€) / From 3 years old / Theater gestural and visual.
  • 4 p.m. – Peter and the Wolf at the Media Library (La Page media library). Small concert Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, performance in a simplified and arranged version by the teachers of the music school and recited by Virginie and Alison. This show will be followed by a snack. Duration: 25 mins / Limited free places on registration.
  • 5 p.m. – Doudou tell me / Company Let’s take a walk in the woods! (Alfred Canel Museum). Young audiences are immersed in the fabulous world of the wolf. The wind in the trees, the rustling of the leaves or even the touch of the wolf’s hair enliven the sensory visit where reading, image and play intersect. les bois published by Milan editions, works by Philippe Segeral exhibited at the museum and of course a wolf! … Duration: 30 mins / Limited free places on registration / From 6 months to 4 years old.
  • 6 p.m. – The wedding of the Eiffel Tower! (Alfred Canel Museum). Victor the anecdoter loves stories, all stories, and he will hasten to share the extraordinary story of the Eiffel Tower wedding! But who will be the lucky winner? After a few wanderings, the public finally discovers who the husband of the Tower is! The story is told during a stroll through the different rooms of the writer Alfred Canel’s house and is punctuated by games where the young audience becomes an actor. The album The wedding of the Eiffel Tower, from the beginning of the 20th century, by J. Roche Mazon, illustrated by V. Le Campion, is kept in the collections of the Alfred Canel museum, in the display case reserved for children’s books… Duration: 1 h / Free places limited on registration / From 5 years old.

Sunday January 22

  • 10:30 a.m. – Clean painting workshop (Theroulde Gallery). “Clean painting” workshop around the work of Marie Duret Winter landscape (cottage under the snow). Free places limited on registration / All public / From 6 months.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Storytelling visit (Alfred Canel Museum). Through the eyes of Alfred Canel and his servant, Albertine, the children discover the different museum rooms and the diversity of the collections (books, paintings, rocks and stones, etc.). Mischievous mice have nibbled the pages of a book from the library and pilfered small pieces of works from the museum: paintings, books, furniture… Following this common thread, two storytellers linger over objects from the permanent collections of the museum. museum, from which flow fantastic and dreamlike stories.
