Enrique has encouraged people to participate in this initiative because “those affected by DANA need us more than ever.” Furthermore, he has spoken publicly about the tragedy: “Dismayed to see the news about the floods that occurred in Valencia. I want to send my deepest condolences to the families of the victims.”

On August 22, 2021 his maternal grandmother, Beatriz Arrastia, diedsurrounded by the love of her loved ones in the family home in Puerta de Hierro, Madrid. Isabel Preysler was supported in those difficult hours by Tamara Falcó, Julio Iglesias Jr and Enrique, who traveled from Miami to say goodbye to his grandmother. Beba was one of the people who supported him the most when he decided to dedicate himself to music and attended all the concerts he gave in the capital.
In December 2019, the youngest son of Julio Iglesias and Isabel Preysler met the Spanish public on stage for the last time.
