Ecovidrio and Disneyland Paris teach children to recycle

The fifth edition of ‘The magic of recycling glass’ was presented in Madrid by Sara Aagesen, Third Vice President of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challengenext to Marta Gómez-Palenque, general director of Quality and Environmental Assessment of the Ministry; Tiago Santos, general director of Disney Destinations for Spain and Portugal; and José Manuel Núñez-Lagos, general director of Ecovidrio.

During the event, more than 30 children from CEIP Ventura Rodríguez de Ciempozuelos participated in educational workshops, surrounded by igloos themed with Disney characters such as Simba, Pinocchio and Rapunzel.

A project that inspires and educates

Ecovidrio, the only Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) specialized in the selective collection of glass containers, renews its alliance with Disneyland Paris in this initiative.

‘The magic of recycling glass’ seeks to motivate families, especially children, to adopt recycling habits in an attractive and educational way, promoting care for the environment and the fight against climate change.

A tour of Spain and Portugal

The campaign, which takes place in front of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge on Paseo de la Castellana, It has igloos decorated with characters as Baloo and the Mad Hatter, They will be exposed for several weeks. These igloos have previously toured 35 Spanish cities and, for the first time, visited Lisbon and Porto thanks to the collaboration with AIVE (Associação dos Industriais de Vidro de Embalagem).

A shared commitment to the future

In his speech, Marta Gómez-Palenque highlighted: “We thank Ecovidrio and Disneyland Paris for this inspiring campaign. It is essential to raise awareness among children about recycling, not only because of its environmental impact, but also because of its social and economic benefits.”

A very special giveaway

As part of the initiative, Ecovidrio and Disneyland Paris invite families to participate in a special draw. Until the January 8, Those who recycle glass in the themed igloos will be able to scan a QR code to participate in an online questionnaire (www.reciclavidriocondisney.es). Prizes include a trip to Disneyland Paris and 200 themed minigloos to continue promoting recycling at home.

In addition, these minigloses will be for sale on the official Ecovidrio website, with the benefits going to the Juegaterapia Foundation. This organization helps children with cancer overcome their treatments through play, bringing hope and fun to the most difficult moments.
