
Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal Roxbury shooting over the weekend.
Officers with the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Austin Dillon, 36, of Dorchester, at around 8:40 p.m. on Monday in connection to the fatal shooting around 109 Weaver Way in Roxbury on Saturday.
Police responded to a call of a person shot at around 3:30 p.m. that day and found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arresting officers located Dillon in the first block of Rozella Street in Dorchester Monday evening and placed him under arrest without incident, according to a police statement. He was arraigned on charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm this morning at Roxbury District Court, according to the court’s daily list.
