Dani Martín talks about his relationship with Blanca Suárez and his dog, the ‘snitch’ of his courtship

It was in 2014, when Dani Martín and Blanca Suárez monopolized all the spotlights and became the most sought-after couple of the moment. It all started in January of that year, when the performer and the singer met after starring in the artist’s well-known video clip, Emotional, in which they share several intimate scenes, including a kiss. In the middle of the interview, Pablo Motos wanted to ask him, without giving names, about his relationship: “There was a relationship of yours with another well-known person that broke up because of the press.” To which the interpreter of Sneakers has responded: “It wasn’t as it was in the press, but it was such a tense situation that we couldn’t live.”

Right at this moment, the artist opened up and explained how they lived their relationship: “At that time we suffered a lot. We stopped going out on the street. Many stories were told and 18 cars followed us. It’s cool to be famous, but If 18 cars are going to follow you, I’d rather not and just do music. It got to a point that was difficult to handle and we were two successful people at a very beautiful time but we couldn’t be free. I say that “That’s what happened, since there are more complicated things in life.”

Although Dani Martín has not explicitly said that the relationship he was talking about was the one he had with Blanca Suárez, it is understood, since he has explained how the press found out about their romance: “It was because of his dog, who looked out onto a balcony and they caught us being together.” And after several weeks of rumors — that year — about a possible courtship between the artists, the magazine HELLO! published the images of the protagonist of The passing lovers leaving the singer’s apartment and his dog Pistachio appearing on the terrace of the former vocalist of El canto del loco, which corroborate that a relationship existed between them.
