Yesterday afternoon (03), Corinthians and Palmeiras faced each other at the Neo Química Arena and were only tied 0-0.

In a game with few emotions, the game only had something more remarkable at the end, when there were two expulsions.

Defender Murilo was sent off by Palmeiras, in the 47th minute of the second half, and midfielder Maycon was sent off in the 51st minute of the second half, after a harsh tackle on striker Endrick.

Craque Neto condemns Maycon’s entry into Endrick

On Band’s “Apito Final” program, former player and presenter, Craque Neto, harshly criticized the Corinthians midfielder’s entry into the Palmeiras jewel.

“I said at the time that I had to expel Maycon, because he almost broke Endrick’s leg. And he went to hurt. I’m sorry, Maycon and Corinthians fans for saying that. They’ll be angry, but I don’t care, I don’t get paid from Corinthians.”

“It was a violent tackle and the referee didn’t see it, he had to go to VAR. This is absurd. He doesn’t aim the ball. Endrick didn’t break his leg because he slaps the ball, so his leg doesn’t stay on the ground. Thank God it didn’t break.”

Finally, Neto praises referee Daronco for not having whistled the free kick at the time of the play, as Verdão had the advantage and almost scored the goal.

“The only thing Daronco got right in this move was giving him an advantage, which almost resulted in a goal for Palmeiras,” said Craque Neto.

Palmeiras and Corinthians focus on continental competitions

The two teams still have some aspirations in the Brasileirão, but yesterday’s match shows that the national competition is not the priority at the moment.

This is because Verdão is in the semi-finals of the Libertadores, where they will face Boca Juniors. The helmsman faces Fortaleza in a duel valid for the semi-finals of the Copa Sudamericana.

The first matches take place in the last week of this month, while the return matches will be at the beginning of next month.
