It is official that the second AEW Continental Classic tournament will kick off on the 11/27 Dynamite.
In the main event of the night, Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black & Brody King) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to earn their spot in the AEW World Tag Team Title four-way at Full Gear. They are joining The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) and the champions Private Party (Zay & Quen). The final spot is going to be determined on the 11/16 Collision when La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH & The Beast Mortos) take on The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster).
There was a singles match between Swerve Strickland and Lio Rush that Strickland emerged victorious from. In his post-match comments directed at his Full Gear opponent Bobby Lashley, Strickland accidentally said they were in Stamford, Connecticut. Dynamite emanated from Bridgeport. The crowd booed when Strickland said that. When MVP and Lashley came to the stage area, the crowd chanted, ‘This is Bridgeport.’ They continued chanting ‘Bridgeport’ as The Hurt Syndicate took out Strickland and Prince Nana.
As Jamie Hayter was doing a backstage interview, she was cut off by a vignette to promote Julia Hart’s return. In the vignette, Hart was called by Brody King and he told her it is time to come home.
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho is putting his title on the line against Tomohiro Ishii on the 11/27 Dynamite in Chicago, Illinois. The last time they wrestled in a singles match was on the November 23rd, 2022 edition of Dynamite in Chicago and the ROH World Title was on the line.
